Out and about

We had a couple of fun days with Gabe at the end of last week. On Thursday, Lisa and I took the kids to the park by our house, equipped with a 'special' swing for Gabe, and then over to Adventure Park. Gabe did SO well! Meaning he didn't need any bagging or suctioning - such a blessing. Here are a few pics of him at the park and then at Adventure Park on the Merry-go-round. Friday, Lisa and I also took the kids to the Frederick Fair which didn't go as smoothly (i.e. lots of bagging and suctioning), but at least it was an experience for Gabe to hear all the sounds, feel the excitement and energy from all the people, and he also got a football painted on his face. Picture to come!

Did I mention he got shoes? He looks very cute, and we had fun taking him to Target and fitting him for them.

All these things may seem so simple but to us they mean so much.... they're moments we weren't sure we'd get to experience with Gabe... when he was life-threatening sick and then when he slipped into the coma. We are thankful for every day with him.

I know you love the times you can take Gabe out. Can't wait until he has his own swing in the backyard.
Love the shoes too.
Love, Mom
