Cherish

The simple moments of a father holding his son are, for us, priceless treasures. Whenever I get down about the situation or Gabe's condition, it helps me to remember that there was a time and a place (actually, a few times and places) when I didn't even know if Gabe would live to see 3 1/2.
And here he is.... still truckin' on.
Still bringing joy and happiness as only he can.

So when big sis says she wants to hold Gabe, I'm all over it in a heartbeat :) "Here," I say, practically throwing him in her lap, until she (and lil sis) complain that their arms are hurting.

And when I have all 3 of my children together in the same room, in the same spot, which is rare, I've got to stop and photograph the moment.

Even though my life is a roller-coster ride that I often want to get off of, we live for moments like these. Calm in the midst of the storm.
We cherish every moment with you Gabe!
