Catching up

I know that with everything going on I have not had the opportunity to tell you about our wonderful weekend away 2 weekends ago. The Willow Tree Foundation and my friend Ann Schrooten provided Shaun and I with a weekend away at The Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay. It is so gorgeous, a very ritzy resort, with 2 restaurants and pools and a spa and so on... We were only able to go away thanks to Ann and the foundation, my mother and father-in-law watching Gabe, and my mom and dad watching the girls. The only downside was that Gabe and Faith were sick and we were worried about them all weekend. But other than that it was sooo great to get away. the first night we just walked around and tried to find our way around the massive resort. My favorite memory of the weekend was our waitress on Friday night bringing these small soup cups on saucers to our table and saying 'Here is a sample of the bacon and split-pea soup compliments of the chef.' We had no idea what to do with the cups, they looked to be about the size of our girls' play tea cups and you couldn't fit a spoon in them, so we drank our split-pea and bacon soup and gave our compliments to the chef. That has never happened to me ever in my life :)

I also had taken 2 pictures of Gabe while he was in the hospital. The first one you can tell he is swollen with fluids and in the second one looks much more like himself with this mouth swab hanging out of his mouth. He likes to do that :) I am so glad he is home. He has had a great day and seems much happier to be back in his crib with his sisters running around his room and his cartoons on. It's great to have every back under the same roof!!!!!!!!!!
