Deep Creek

This weekend, we are headed to.....

We have been invited by Gabe's nurse, Lisa, to join her and her 3 teenaged daughters for the weekend at their home on the Lake!!

Shaun will be driving me and the kids up and staying for the day on Friday, then he's headed home because he has to work on Saturday. My mom will come to stay with us after work on Friday. I think I will have more than enough hands to help with the 3 little ones between my mom and Lisa and her daughters!

Wish us luck as this trip with all 3, without Shaun, is a first! I am hoping it will be nice and relaxing; a change of pace.

Also... think snow!!

Shaun is my diligent, strong, and steady husband who is always fighting for and providing for his family. He has an incredible testimony of God's changing power that always reminds me that no one is too far gone for God to save. He works 3 jobs right now, is a church board member, and a movie and video game enthusiast, in his very spare time! He isn't afraid to speak his mind, loves anything Steelers, and has recently taken up golfing! I don't know why he chose me as his wife but I am thankful to have him on my team always.

Gabe is our one and only son, a miracle, and truly an angel sent from above. He turned 4 years old in September!! Born full-term and healthy, he became ill at 3 months of age and was hospitalized at Children's in DC for 8 months. He now breathes with the use of a ventilator and eats through his g-tube.

Gabe loves to smile and laugh, swing, cuddle, and take baths. He loves to hear his sisters talking and his family hanging out in his room. He loves going to school, visiting the mall or the pool, and walks in his stroller. We look forward to more years with Gabe and lots more lessons learned from our sweet angel.

Our blondie is the big sister, leader, teacher, and "mother" to her littler brother and sister. She is incredibly smart, creative, and funny. Brooke adores anything Princess and can often be found reading to Gabe, writing and drawing, and taking care of her baby doll. She is shy like her mommy but has a very brave spirit and isn't afraid to try new things!

Our little brunette is the sweet, sensitive, loud, and silly lil sister. She continues to mature wonderfully and it amazes me every day how much she is talking, learning and growing. She is loves to be around people, play with friends, and encourage others. She can be found playing on the computer, playing Barbies or Little Pet Shop, or cooking with Mommy. She is very friendly and outgoing but has an incredibly sensitive streak and doesn't like to be yelled at by anyone.
