If I only responded the right way a fraction of the time that life happens...
Instead of being down-right angry and confused by everything Gabe has endured;
The question of "Why?" clouding my thoughts all the time;
And giving into the sadness instead of pushing to find joy;
While looking for someone, anyone, to blame so I momentarily forget the situation we are in;
And getting offended at those whose lives seem so carefree and effortless;
Never stopping to look around at all that I have to be thankful for;
Or remember all that Gabe and our family has to celebrate- the victories, large and small;
Because the 10% is honestly 100% difficult, stressful, challenging, exhausting, uncontrollable, requiring faith and hope and grace;
And believe it or not, at the end of the day, I really do want to respond in the right way. I just want to be be found faithful.
James 1:2, 12
2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
12Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

So, so true, Michelle
I think our Father in Heaven understands when we ask why. I think he knows that life is confusing for us at times. If you are trying to live right and do good than I know Our Father IS proud of you and counts you as one of HIS faithful. Your doing a wonderful job with what He has given you. That's a testament of LOVE.
Hey, Rach! As always, you and your precious Gabe are in my thoughts and prayers. B even prays for "Babe Gabe" now too :o)
God understands your hurt and sad feelings. He understands the "why". We may never get our answers here on Earth, but I agree with Dana. He is proud of you and he knows you are the best mom Gabe could ever have.
(((Hugs)))
