Pictures!!

The absolutely wonderful Kristen came to our house last weekend to get family pictures for Sal and Renee before they returned to Africa. We've never had pictures taken of the whole Marini clan, so I had planned to try and talk Renee into getting some shots! She was all for it!! She said to go ahead and set it up!

I have admired Kristen's work ever since last summer when Gabe's nurse at Children's (Angie) asked me to pray for Micah, and referenced to me a blog about him, which just so happened to be Kristen's blog. I fell in love with her work! I never thought I'd have the opportunity to have her take our pictures, though, because... I don't know... for some reason it just seemed unobtainable. And I totally admired the wedding photos she takes, and, well, I wasn't going to be having another wedding any time soon. But God had some great plans in store for us! My photographer friend, Josi, whom I went to first, was unavailable, so I thought I'd try and see if Kristen would happen to be available. And she was (on some major short notice).

Suffice to say, she did a great job. 5 kids, 7 adults, stuck inside the house, and she did GREAT. There are more pictures over at Kristen's photography site, so go check them out.

I can't say enough good about Kristen~ she's the kind of person you'd really, really want as your friend. And she is incredibly, amazingly talented. Thank you for taking our pictures... on such short notice... with the circumstances we have with Gabe. We were all touched by you. THANKS!
